What does the part-time light mean on a Jeep Cherokee?
The light could mean a couple of things: It is possible you’ve engaged Part-Time 4WD and the light is just letting you know (it should be off if on dry pavement). Another possibility is you have a stuck transfer case indicator switch/sensor giving you a false indication light.

Some of the 05 to 2010 Jeep grand Cherokee‘s had an issue with that particular part and it required reprogramming. If it’s not that, then it’s the transfer case. At this point it’s worth a shot.
What’s the Mopar number on a Jeep Cherokee?
I have seen some youtube video on some older jeep that the guy removed the TC motor and manually manipulated the knob. Has someone done that? 2) It looks like the sensor MOPAR number is 68026952AA. But for some reason it shows compatible only with 5.7 not 3.6 on ebay.
