Why do I keep blowing belts on my snowmobile?
A major culprit for premature belt wear is clutch misalignment. Misaligned primary and secondary clutches will cause the belt to run crooked. Extra stress on the sidewalls of the belt is created by running crooked on the clutches. Your sled will blow through drive belts fairly quickly if the alignment is way off.

Important Note: A known problem exists on Polaris snowmobiles when the lighting system has been disconnected (often when the hood has been removed). The voltage will be fine at an idle, but when revved up, the voltage regulator will become overloaded and the voltage will drop to a very low voltage, causing the nitrous solenoid to no longer work.

Where can I get a new headlight for my snowmobile?
You can get one at any auto parts, or “big box” retail store. Make sure you don’t touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers. The skin oils from your fingers do horrible things to the bulb once it gets hot. I use those medical “doctor” gloves when I change a bulb.
