When to buy a 2006 Buell XB12X Ulysses?
Might we suggest you research the differnces between the 06 (1st year) and the 09 (4th year second generation) Uly. Buy what you like, ride it till it quits, then rebuild it, or not.

What’s the problem with my XB12 ULY motorcycle?
Xb12 uly replaced intake seals, motorcycle starts at 2500 then drop… She just died……… Flashing Red Check Engine Light. Cleaning the carburetor on my Blast… 1125CR is trying to kill me. Are there any issues with my Buell XB12X Ulysses?
A friend of mine logged over 100k on his ’06 with no major issues. He did have a fair amount of nagging electrical issues (relays, fuses, bad switches, etc) but nothing major mechanically.
