How do you clean the MAF sensor on a Nissan Murano?
Spray the MAF sensor wires or grid (sensing elements) with electrical component cleaner or MAF sensor cleaner. (See Tips for more information.) Rub dirt and contaminants off the sensor elements using a soft brush, until the wires and sensor components are completely clean.
What is the MAF sensor on a Nissan Murano?
August 7, 2019by Jason The mass airflow sensor (commonly abbreviated to MAF) is one of the most important engine management sensors. A bad mass airflow sensorcan leave your Nissan Murano’s engine running rough, or even inoperable. A MAF sensor measures the density of the air entering the intake manifold.
Is there a problem with the Nissan mass air flow sensor?
In this guide, you will learn about the Nissan Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, a common problem with Nissan MAF, how to diagnose it, replace and carry MAF relearn procedure. This is a list of common symptoms you will notice when your Nissan MAF sensor fails.
What causes a Nissan Murano to run rich?
Idle Issues– Your Murano may run rich or lean when idling, or it may also idle erratically. A rich condition is when there is not enough air relative to the fuel in the air/fuel mixture. The exhaust color is usually darker when running rich.
Where is the MAF sensor on a Mitsubishi Lancer?
Uses mass airflow sensor cleaner. It’s really cheapand available at any parts store. It sure beats the heck out of having to buy a new sensor. Locate the MAF Sensor– It’ll be in between the air filter and the throttle body. Remove the Sensor- Take care not to damage the wiring harness or the connector pins that receive the harness in the MAF.

Where is the mass air flow sensor on a Nissan?
Locate a mass airflow sensor in the engine bay. Nissan MAF sensor is located right next to the engine air filter housing, typically on the driver’s side. Unplug the electrical connector from your Nissan mass airflow sensor. Watch the following video on how to remove the air filter box to access the MAF sensor.
