Are EJ257 reliable?
All that said, the EJ257 can be a reliable engine that provides average longevity. Maintenance is one of the big keys as with any engine. Use high quality oils, check oil levels, change fluids on time, so on so forth. If you plan to tune the WRX STI EJ257 engine then ensure you have a well setup and dialed in tune.
