Is there a problem with my Nissan Micra?
I have a 2001 Nissan Micra. 2 days ago, the doors automatically re-locked themselves when opened either by the remote or by the key. When using the key, if it is held in the “unlock” position all the time the lock/unlock cycles several times and then remains unlocked.

You can either have it just unlock the drivers door (for security reasons) and this is called “selective door unlocking” or have it unlock them all. I understand the correct procedure, key close to the lock, press the brake (firmly, especially if vacuum has been lost) and make sure the KEY symbol on the dash is green….

A newbie here. I just want to confirm putting graphite powder into the ignition and wiggling the key about a lot will eventually loosen the steering lock. I bought graphite powder from an art shop and using a very, very small spoon, inserted the powder into the lock. After a couple of tiny spoonfuls I would insert the key and jiggle it about.
