Why is my 2005 Polaris Sportsman 400 dead?
My 2005 Polaris Sportsman 400 is completely dead, most of the time. The battery is new, I replaced the key switch thinking that might be the problem, but still nothing. Every once in a while when I am messing with it, it gets power and starts right up, everything works fine and it runs great. Turn it off and it’s dead again.

I did something silly when I put my new battery in and did not get all of the pos wires connected to the battery. I had actually hooked on of them to the neg side.
