Older gen celicas used a castle nut and cotter pin which IMO is better. But Toyota didn’t listen to my recommendation and went this route. Here you can see the indent taken out. Remove the brake calipers. They are held in by 14mm bolts on the back side. Once you get the bolts out, lift out the calipers and set the brake pads aside.
