Why does my drivers seat not tilt forward?
The drivers seat wont tilt forward to allow people in the back (the passenger side is fine). When I first picked the car up (a week ago) it worked at first, but the lever at the top of the seat back was very stiff. Now there is no movement at all in the lever and I can’t tilt the seat back forward at all.
Why does the back seat on a VW not tilt?

Is there a fix for power seat not going forward?
It looks like lots of people have had the same problem I had with the power seat on my 1997 Lariat – the seat won’t go forwards or backwards, or will only go one way, or works intermittently. I think I have found the solution and it costs nothing!
How do you fix a tilt in a car seat?
All is achieved by lifting off the flap at the bottom rear corner of the the seat. As I said, it’s fiddly, but possible. The broken clip simply hooks over the bottom edge and then clips in to the same bracket, striding a circular fulcrum-type hinge.
Where are the switches on a power seat?
The little teeth on the switches (6 teeth on each switch) fit into the backside of the power seat rocker arm thing (the part that you touch to move the seat.) The three switches, their circuit board, and their huge power connector are all one unit.
