Is Guthega pub open?
BASECAMP Cafe – NEW for 2021! If skiing to BASECAMP take the Norwegian Road from the base of the Blue Cow T-bar and turn right onto the home trail. The Guthega Inn is open daily from 3pm for apres drinks and small plates and is not open to the general public for lunch, house guests only.

Guthega is a ski village and the site for a hydro electric dam located in the Kosciuszko National Park, on the upper reaches of the Snowy River, on the western face of Mount Blue Cow, Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia.
Can you park at Guthega?
Parking and arrival Guthega Village has overnight car parking for guests. We ask guests to call the Inn when leaving Jindabyne so that we can confirm directions, advise conditions at this end and co-ordinate your over snow pick up. Check-in is from 4pm.

Do I need snow chains to drive to Perisher?
If you’re driving to Perisher from Jindabyne it’s an easy half hour drive in good weather; keep in mind that you’re legally required to carry properly fitting chains in any vehicle other than 4WD’s within the National Park. The National Park entry fee is $29 per day for each vehicle.
Can you ski from Blue Cow to Perisher?
To spend the day in Blue Cow, you can jump on board the Skitube from either Bullocks Flat Terminal or Perisher Valley and arrive at Blue Cow Terminal. From Blue Cow you then have direct access to ride at Guthega! You can also ski to Blue Cow from Perisher via Perisher Express Quad Chair or Interceptor Chair.

Does Perisher have snow?
Australia’s favourite and largest ski resort, Perisher has experienced incredible snowfalls over the past week. The snowfall has set Perisher up for an amazing August and September.
When was Perisher opened?
July 1987
The resort opened in July 1987 and despite transport difficulties (caused by the delay in the completion of the Skitube alpine railway beyond Perisher) the response to the facilities and the mountain was overwhelmingly positive.

Located mountainside on the western rim of the Perisher Range, Guthega Inn features panoramic views to Mt Kosciuszko, Mt Twynam and Guthega Dam. Guests can park in Guthega and be transferred over snow to the Inn, which has well appointed guest rooms and a ski-in restaurant which opens for apres and dinner. Menus feature regional produce and wines.
What to do in the Guthega Alpine Inn?
Guthega Inn features light filled rooms with en-suite, central heating, mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Meals are served in the breakfast room and café bar. Dinner is available each evening in our licensed restaurant.

Guests who prefer a back-country experience can access the Main Range via Guthega Dam and the “Illawong” suspension bridge which cross the Snowy River and give access to great terrain on Mt Tate, Mt Twynam, Watsons Crags and beyond.
