Is 2000 miles a lot for an ATV?
Some people say that you shouldn’t look at anything more than 5000 miles while others think that high miles mean somewhere between 2000 to 3000 miles. Generally, an ATV is considered “high miles” once it reaches around 10,000 miles.
Why is the speedometer not working on my Polaris ATV?
Could be a number of reasons the plug for the hall sensor came undone, the hall sensor failed or the wire to it broke, the speedo is broken just to name a few. Does anything work on the speedo like the various gauges, fuel, hour, shift position,etc? Yeah the rpms work the hour meter works my awd works.

If it’s counting hours but not miles it’s the Hall sensor. If the Hall sensor or wire to it is bad, with the AWD still work? I just bought a 2001 Sportsman 400 and the speedometer/odometer are not working but the AWD is.

When did my gauge cluster stop working on my sportsman?
Gauge cluster going out? 2008 Sportsman 500 HO EFI. While finishing up some other projects preparing for winter, my gauge stopped working. First start up, it worked, I let it run for a few minutes.
