What to do if your front 4×4 actuator is bad?

After inspection all the mechanical stuff checked out fine and the problem was traced to the electrical connection to the front diff. It has some 5 wires into the connection plug and is close to the vacuum pipe apparently. It was said that the wire plug was quite badly corroded and was a bit green in corroded colour.

Why are the lights on my 4WD not working?
The three lights on the dash for the 4WD, will blink when you push them, but then go back to 2WD shortly after. This happens for both 4 high and 4 low.
