Why is there no heat on the drivers side?
Just want to confirm drivers side is blowing ice cold air, not ice cold because there is no air blowing on the drivers side. (Like a vent flips shut) Ok there is a blend door just left of center take off the plastic guard and make sure the lever is moving when gkj cycle from defrost to heat.

Hi, If the passenger side, or any point is seriously hot and another goes cold. You can rule out the heater core. If one side goes cold and the other warm or barely warm it is still in play. Hot on one area cold on the other indicates an air flow problem.

Assuming you are getting air, but no warmth, from the duct, this unit requires cleaning or replacement. I have not actually located mine but I understand that it is about the size of your hand, has at least one green colored component visible on it, and is physically connected to the HVAC unit, probably with a hose.

I’m getting heat blowing out of the driver’s side vents, but not passenger side. Recently, I changed out a bad blend door actuator. When I installed it, I didn’t put the new one in the exact right position (installed at the 11:00 position, then turned it to align with the mounting screws). Could that be the reason?

Why does my HVAC blow cold air and hot air?
Drivers changed air temperature far more often than they change the mode (defrost, floor heat, dash vents, etc.), so the temperature actuators generally fail first. When that happens, the HVAC system can be stuck on blows cold air or blows hot air. In a dual zone system, you wind up with a blows cold one side, hot on other side condition.

Heat blew around 180 degrees out of all vents. Later the heat only worked on the driver’s side. I flushed out the heater core using the garden hose on high, flushing both ways. Re-connected all the hoses and refilled. I bought the burping funnel and installed it, drove forward and back in my driveway.
