Can a 2.8 CRD engine work on a 2005 Jeep?
By this I mean if you get one of the early Export 2.8 CRD engines up to 2004…..the engine with a fixed-vane turbo as appossed to the newer 2005/2006 2.8 CRD engine with a variable vane turbo….then this older 2.8 engine will work….you may need some ECU re-programming! Why does my Jeep Liberty overheat when going up hill?
When driven on flat or down hill it doesn’t overheat but still fills like the turbo boost isn’t there on the fault codes says that turbo/supercharger not enough boost and recirculating gases on the manifold is insuficient. Coolant level it’s normal. I can’t tell if there is a noise it sounds the same but with no boost.
