Why does the engine light go out on my Subaru Outback?

Is there a cruise control or traction control light?

Can a walker catalytic converter work on a 2007 Subaru Outback?
Does anyone know whether a Walker Catalytic Converter actually works for a 2007 Subaru Outback 2.5 automatic? I was told that aftermarket Cats work for 3 months and then the engine light comes back on. Thanks! Do you have to pass emissions anytime soon?
