How long is Pscrb refresher?

After successful completion of the PSCRB-R, the certification will be valid for 5 years. With the implementation of the Manila Amendments 2010 delegates must provide evidence of having the competencies by successfully completing a refresher training every 5 years, as described in STCW Code 1978, as amended.
Do we need to do Pssr refresher?
There is no need for refresher training if the subject training was undertaken within the past five years. If the seafarer has undergone advanced training such as AFF, PSCRB etc., then the certificates of corresponding basic training such as FPFF and PST are not required for undertaking the refresher training.

How often should a rescue boat be launched?
As far as is reasonable and practicable, rescue boats other than lifeboats which are also rescue boats, shall be launched each month with their assigned crew abroad and maneuvered in the water. In all cases this requirement shall be complied with at least once every 3 months.
