What happens if you try to jump start a Renault?
The idenpendent Renault garage are getting a written assessment from the ECU repairers confirming that in their opinion the components have failed due to an attempt to jump start the car. The roadside assisstance company have been informed (today) by my sil that they have potentially caused massive damage to the car.

It appears they attempted to jumpt start the car by connecting something to the battery (I presume it was a battery pack of some sort). This didn’t cure the problem and the car was taken to an independent Renault specialist for repair.
