All Masters from 1998-2003 suffer from a cr@p design of gearbox and they fail regularly (most don’t reach 80k!) If they go in spectacular fashion like mine did, you’re pretty much stuffed as the bell housings are now obsolete and get trashed when bearings collapse.

My ’87 T35 Master van was a Diesel non-turbo but later had the Turbo Diesel engine fitted. I believe that it is still using the original gearbox (i.e. the non-turbo version). Does anyone know of a better diff or gearbox for my van?
