What are Dorman headlight bulb retainer rings for?
Highly recommend. I recently purchased a pair of Dorman HELP! 42415 Headlamp Bulb Retainer rings to aid in installing a pair of 9007 LED headlight bulbs in my 1999 F250 Super Duty pickup. The bulbs came with a housing containing a small cooling fan in the rear with the electrical pigtail sticking out the back.
How do you install a Dorman headlight bulb?
I inserted the new LED bulb into the Dorman ring until it clicked into place, then inserted the bulb in to the headlight housing. Twisted the new ring 1/4 turn clockwise, connected the electrical pigtail and installation was complete.
