Why does my Skidoo summit 1000 keep breaking?

If it breaks it was because of the garbage electronics hung around it. Great basic design. IMO the highest quality engine skidoo has put out in a production sled, but the SDI caused bottom end issues and will burn down unexpectadly with little reason. Use the search function and look up more info.

Connect the ohmmeter to the center and either outside spade terminal. The resistance readings should vary from 1000 to 2500 ohms as the throttle blades are turned with the thumb throttle lever. How do you run a summit stairlift?

Insert the hand-crank tube onto the pulley and turn counter-clockwise 4-5 turns until the lift moves down the track about 1”. Slide the final limit actuator (metal tab sticking up off the track) down until it touches the lift. The lift should now run. Lower the top switch cam about 1/2” to keep the problem from recurring.
