Is there a problem with my Peugeot 206?
Hi, I have a 2005 Peugeot 206, I’ve only been driving the car a few days, I’ve just tried to start it to go out and it’s turning over/ cranking but will not start, I’ve not had this problem with it before and the previous owner was my partners mother and neither has she, the car ideally starts straight away with no problem but now has just stopped.

This clicking noise has appeared and disappeared a few times (car doesnt work when clicking noise active). The car went to peugeot. They said it was 100 por cent battery. Put new battery and it worked for 3 days. Same problem showed.

On uphill roads, the speed decreases considerable and the acceleration engine makes a strage noise, like a purr. The worst thing is that I really need to strike to speed the car up.

Rob. hi rob thanks for your swift reply, yes the scanner i have does not communicate with ecu, not getting anything at all. will check wiring above gearbox, when you say tight do yo mean maybe wrong routed ?or is this a common prob with these. As to wiring; there are many different makes of ECU fitted on that year.
