Slide the boot up the cable and loosen the lock nut from the cable threads with a 9/16″ and 1/2″ wrench. Turn the cable nut clockwise up the threads to loosen the tension in the lever. Move back up to the lever and pull the cable away from the lever to take away the slack in the cable.
