Remove the fuse box cover and there is a large terminal that you can hook the positive side of a booster to and the ground side to the vehicle body. This will supply enough power to open the trunk electrically and access the battery to properly charge it.

Is there a jumper cable under the hood?
Under that is a small blade that most jumper cable clamps will have trouble getting on. It might be best to carry an adapter to bring that blade up and out enough that tow truck jumper cables can get on it. I do not know if a commercial product is available.

How many fuel pumps does a Jaguar XJ8 have?
The XJ8 & XK8 has one fuel pump and the XJR & XKR have two fuel pumps, in either case they have fuses in the trunk. They also have relays related to each pump. If you think you have a bad relay you can swap that relay with a like relay. The theory is that the chances of having two bad relays at the same time is slim.
