Does DSR reduce FPS?
Yes you will see FPS drops, but it depends on the game. For games like Borderlands or MOBAS like Dota and LOL its great if it scales correctly. New titles shouldn’t be used with DSR.
How do you downsample on a laptop?
Go to your Nvidia Control Panel, click “Manage 3D Settings” in the pane on the left, then find “DSR – Factors” in the box and select the resolutions you’d like to downsample from. You can tick a few resolutions, so they’ll all be available to you from now on.
What should DSR smoothness be set to?
This varies from game to game. The default is at 33 percent, but you can adjust it.
What is resolution downsampling?
Downsampling (also called Supersampling) is when you set your GPU to render a game at a higher resolution than your monitor can display, then rescale the image to fit your monitor’s resolution.
Should you use dynamic super resolution?
Dynamic Super Resolution Improves Your Games With 4K-Quality Graphics On HD Monitors. Simply put, it renders a game at a higher, more detailed resolution and intelligently shrinks the result back down to the resolution of your monitor, giving you 4K, 3840×2160-quality graphics on any screen.
