Not sure if this works on Fords tho. Me, I’d rely on Tester’s advice first. But if that doesn’t work, a slide hammer might be an effective alternative.

What to do when your wheel bearing is stuck?

If the threads aren’t too screwed up on the axle yet, put the castle nut back on, but backwards so you don’t mushroom the end as much. Then go back and forth between beating on the puller and beating directly on the axle with your sledge. It’ll take time, but has always worked for me.
