Will KA24DE headers fit KA24E?
Re: will KA24E intake, Exhaust Manifolds fit on KA24DE engine? (240SXplan) No, most of them won’t.
Are S13 and s14 headers the same?
They are not the same. The EGR port is in a different location and when used on the incorrect chassis you will need the corresponding EGR pipe, or of course you can cap it. The S13 header will also have an extra bung for the AIV, this will need to be capped as well.
How much power can a KA24DE make?
Turbocharging the KA24DE can produce great numbers if the tuning is right. It’s easy to attain over 200rwhp with a basic turbo kit like the kind sold on ebay. Advanced tuning and internal engine modification has produced KA24 240SX’s with 500+ horsepower.
What’s the difference between the KA24E and KA24DE?
As you may expect, these engines are very similar, but there are a few fundamental differences that separate these engines. The most significant difference is the cylinder head. The Ka24E was a single overhead cam engine with just three valves per cylinder, and the KA24DE was a dual overhead cam engine with four valves per cylinder.
What kind of camshaft does a Nissan KA24DE use?
To gain some power for cheap, you need the most aggressive OEM camshafts. But first of all, repair your engine, it may be old and worn, put your engine in order. After that purchase KA24DE stock cams (248/248), cold air intake, 4-2-1 header, 2.5 inch straight pipe exhaust system, lightweight flywheel and JWT ECU.
How manybhp does a KA24DE SR20DET have?
Although many people upgrade to the SR20DET engine, many stay with the KA24DE because of its larger displacement. A naturally aspirated built can reach up to 200whp (230bhp), but it isn’t cheap. This kind of build requires full bolt-on, ported and polished head, bigger cams, and possibly a higher compression ratio.
How big is the inlet valve on a KA24E?
Inlet valves were 36.6 mm in diameter, the exhaust – 31.3 mm. These engines were called KA24DE. In contrast to KA24E, KA24DE engines have new oil pan and oil jets, modified pistons and crankshaft with compression ratio 9.5. On models for SUV compression ratio is reduced to 9.2 and 9.3.

What’s the rev limiter on a Nissan KA24DE?
It reduced rev limiter to 6,400 RPM. The version for SUV and large cars used long length intake manifold and camshafts, meant for low-end to the mid-range torque. Such engines had 6,100 RPM rev limiter. KA24DE engine has no hydraulic lifters, therefore from time to time it is necessary to adjust the valves.
