On the 2009, it’s on top of the engine, in the front, slightly right side of center. Mounted to a bracket at a weird angle. It’s got a wide plug of wires going into one end. I remember from somewhere the old design is square, the new design is wedge shaped on the end without the wires. Thanks.

The glow plug light on the dash of my 2003 ML 270 has started staying on after the engine has started. It seems to stay on for about a minute after driving off and then goes off and doesn’t come back on until I stop the engine and start again. It has done this a few times in the last couple of days but not all the time.

The ML would start to go and then “studder” several times, until you let off the gas. Also, a few times while driving on the highway, it went into a sort of limp mode, where max speed was 80 or 100 kmH. We would pull over, turn off, restart and problem solved. Never a warning light.

E320 CDI Avantguard. 2006. 144,000 miles. Lovely car bought new by a friend and we bought it 3 years ago from them when they upgraded to a new one. No problems til recent acceleration problem sort of limp mode and yellow engine management light on dash. Took to local garage (not mercedes garage)
