Why is the armrest on my envoy spongy?
Basically if you put your elbow on this and use it to support you as you slide into the seat, when entering the vehicle, then your elbow is going to break the top piece of plastic and now your armrest is all spongy feeling. To fix this, while installing the new one, I cut a piece of Styrofoam to fit in between the top and bottom pieces.

Once the bucket is removed, remove the 3 screws from the Arm Rest. place upside down on a table, and remove the Phillips screws, 2 by the handles 2 in the center. Then the 2 outside 7mm screws by the hinge.
