Why is my phone discharging while plugged in?
The only way that your battery may be discharging while you are charging it is because you are using a weak charger. Some phones have very large batteries that require powerful chargers. Just because the charger can be inserted into your phones charging port does not mean that you should use it to charge your phone.

I have had my 2019 Kona since February. Fun little car so far. However, today I took it to the dealer for the second time for the same problem. On cold start (after at least 6 hours of sitting) I get the warning on the instrument cluster “battery discharge due to external electronic device”.

Click to expand… A battery discharge warning seems normal when the engine is OFF while you have the radio or accessory set to ON. This in itself doesn’t appear to be a problem since I don’t have a battery issue even though I only drive my KT about once a week.
