Do this for a period of days in order to see if it fails to Unlock the car. If the car fails to Unlock from the Nearside also, then it is either the Key or the XF’s Unlocking Module .If it is the Unlocking Module this will probably mean a trip to a Jaguar Dealer.

One of the answers I got indicated that it could be the car battery being low on power. Jaguar cars, having a lot of electrical goodies on board, do need a fully charged battery, and this could be possible in your case. My car is now sitting outside the garage being charged.
