Why is my AC compressor shooting out Freon?
Most compressors have a high pressure spring loaded blow off valve. If the compressor ends up with too much pressure or pulling liquid into the compressor the blow off valve will open an vent refrigerant. My guess is for some reason the blow off valve is dumping refrigerant due to a pressure or liquid problem.
What causes an air conditioner line to leak?
There are two causes of AC system leaks – age and moisture. While much of your air conditioning system is made of metal, including the high pressure lines, rubber is still used throughout. You have rubber O-rings, grommets, lines and more.

Why does my AC keep filling up with water?
Well, it’s because a dirty filter blocks air from your AC’s evaporator coil, which makes it freeze over. When the ice melts off of the coils, the drain pan fills up with water and overflows. Check your air filter. If it looks like the filter on the right in the image above, then you should replace it.
What to do if you have a leak in your air conditioner?
You can purchase leak detection kits to help you identify any leaks in your air conditioning system. These kits provide a dye that will run through the lines and seep out of any leaks or cracks, making them visible to the naked eye. Why does my air conditioner keep kicking on and off?
Usually there are high and low pressure switches on your a/c lines that tell the compressor to kick on and off. Chances are that your pressure is too high or low, which tells the computer to leave the a/c compressor off so that it doesn’t tear up the compressor and make your problem worse.
