Why does the low coolant light keep coming on?

I am experiencing this problem too. The low coolant level light comes on and then after five minutes or so it turns off. Engine temperature has not crossed over 100 degrees Celsius and the water/coolant level in the coolant reservoir is full.

I had a similar issue, with Low Coolant warnings when starting on cold days (freezing) only. The coolant contracts when it gets cold, and the coolant level would be marginal on cold days. After 30 seconds, the warning would go away.
