Why does my XF not have a brake light?
I was interested in this fault as my XF has exactly the same problem (but without the brake light symptoms). As it happens my brake light switch was replaced recently but the fault is still happening. It seems to be related to changes in ambient temperature and humidity, and usually goes away after the car has been parked for a while.

However I have an 09 XF with identical issues to the letter. I have replaced the battery and the brake light switch however this has made no difference.
Can a parking brake warning light come on?
However after fitting a new battery, all the warning lights above came on again AND the Cannot Apply Parking Brake warning light and constant buzzer warning for this comes on when driving. Also, after fitting the new battery the brake lights don’t come on! I had a new brake light switch fitted but the brake lights still don’t come on!
Where is the parking brake warning light on my Jaguar?
The dreaded Parking brake warning light came up on the dash a couple of days ago. I have tried re-set procedure (disconnect battery etc.) to no avail. I am reasonably handy with a multimeter and was wondering if anyone has a procedure for testing the centre console operating switch, to try and eliminate one part of the system.
Why does my brake light switch not work?
The brake light switch energizes an unlock solenoid that allows your shift lever to move out of park. It is for safety, because you HAVE to have your foot on the BRAKE. If your car won’t get out of park and your brake lights do not work, then it is most likely a defective brake light switch.
What kind of problem does a Suzuki Forenza have?
I have a 2006 suzuki forenza and have had problems with just gettin the key out of the ignition until i accidently hit the shifter just a little bit and the key came out. Now i’m having trouble with gettin the shifter out of park.
