Why does my Outlander 500 keep overheating?
My 2007 Outlander 500 keeps overheating after about 30 minutes into a ride. Sometimes longer. Sometimes shorter. I have had it into the shop 2 times now and the first time they replaced the heat sensor.
Can a dealer change the ECM on a Kawasaki Outlander?
Canam does not want anyonebut a dealer to be able to controlthe ECM. I had kawasakis before getting the Outy, and after-market mfrs were able to replace thestock ecm (or cdi) with one that took the timing retardation away, which significantly raised the quads power.
What to do if your outty is overheating?
Any time the highest point in the cooling system is above the radiator fill , you have the potential for air to get trapped in the motor.Not much to bleeding it , just make sure it is sitting level and full of coolant and crack the bleeders and watch/Listen for any air . High Lifter makes a nice oversized radiator for the Outty.

Is the can Am Outlander 400 running hot?
Can-Am’s do run hot. Many users complain about the fact they can’t sit on them idle during the summer months or the bake. Also, you will hear the fan. If you don’t, the fan could be disfunctional and need to be replaced. Remember the radiator is towards the back on Can-Ams.
