Why does my Nissan Frontier make tapping noise?
Edit: couple other things to mention. The oil I replaced was very dirty and there was some foam on the oil cap – makes me wonder if the previous owner put in some additive to reduce the noise. Since the first oil change by me I changed it again after about 1,500 miles, slightly dirty looking already but no foam on the cap.
Why does my car make a clicking noise when I start it?
It sounds like the battery needs to be replaced. The clicking noise is probably the starter solenoid. The green and white foam is acid. You need to check and make sure the alternator is not overcharging the battery causing the acid to bubble out.
Is the lifter clatter normal on a Nissan Frontier?
Your probobly right about the lifter clatter but unless its really bad , i wouldn’t sweat it. this is the first ive heard on a gen2. the gen 1 was normal unless you switched to synthetic and it was alot quieter. Could be piston slap. Sounds like what I have but by all accounts it’s harmless and I have to strain to hear it, but it’s there.
Why does my gas stove make a clicking noise?
You know the clicking noise you hear when you turn on your gas stove. So I opened up the hood to see what happen, and I saw the battery was covered with foam/powder, whiteish & greenish, I decided to clean it. Removing the negative connector first and scraped all the powder out then did the same to the positivie connector.
Why does my Nissan Frontier make a loud knocking noise?
It happens when i go around corners unless i go really slow. It is just one loud knock every corner. Its like something is shifting because if i take two left turns it only makes the noise around the first one but as soon as i make a right it does it again but not if i make another right, if that makes sense.

What to do if you hear a knocking noise in your front end?
Jack up one of the front corners just high enough to get one tire off the ground about an inch or so. Then take a crow bar or longer bar, put it under the tire and try lifting the tire up and down to see if you can see or hear any free play or slop. Repeat same for other front corner. Never know, maybe you might find something.
