Why does my new Jeep Compass not start?
I have a brand new 2019 Compass. Sometimes when I start it (push button on dash; foot on brake) it only switches “ON” instead of to “RUN”, and then it won’t let me turn it off or start it.

There is a switch under the hood some have disabled the system by bending the bracket so the switch no longer contacts the hood. It is a great idea but to my understanding this will also disable remote start. I don’t know if this would throw a code but might be worth looking at.

Why does my 2014 Jeep Compass not start?
On and Off again my 2014 Jeep Compass won’t start. All the lights come on, radio works, everything is perfect except it won’t crank. It goes all the way to the third and thats it. The ETC light and check engine light come on only when it doesn’t turn on.

When did I Buy my 2016 Jeep Compass?
I have a 2016 Jeep Compass that I purchased as a second owner from a dealership that is NOT an authorized Jeep Dealership. I bought the vehicle in mid June of 2017 and the mileage was just shy of 28,000. I also purchased the extended warranty the salesman offered at the time of purchase.
Is there a gas leak in my Jeep Compass?
The leak might be small enough that you won’t smell any gasoline. The times I noticed a gas smell were actually just after I shut off the car. The fuel line was under pressure and that’s when the smell was most noticeable. If you’ve been away from the car, the leaked gas had already evaporated and there was no smell. Hope this helps! thanks!
