When a motorcycle idle is too low, there isn’t enough opening for the air and fuel to pass through when your engine is in action. With an unusually low idle your motorcycle is near its choke point wherein any command from the throttle could easily kill the rpm.

Reset valves to .002, points to .012. Something that might be a clue. The points plate must be moved right of the two aligning marks about a quarter of an inch. Along about there is about as far as it will go so I figure that surely is not right but that is the only way I can get the test light to operate when the F mark is aligned.
