Why does my Jeep Patriot Lock not unlock?
In those cases what is happening is the lock mech gets dirty and sticky. So when you try to unlock, the solenoid tries to move the lock mech and it gets stuck so the lock doesn’t open all the way and pops back closed. The lock mech typicaly is sensative to position of the lock itself.
Is there a way to remote unlock a car door?

Sometimes, the remote still does not work after checking for all possible reasons. In that case, you may have to reprogram the remote so that it pairs up with the car’s receiver unit. However, this will require getting into the car and inserting the keys into the ignition.
What to do if your car door locks go mad?
Leave the FOBs in your house and drive the car a mile away. See if the locks go mad. If they do, then it is obviously in the car, if not, bring one Fob and then the other to see if it is one or the other. If you can’t isolate it that way, it would likely be the computerized body module that controls the locks.
Can You remote start a jeep with a smartphone?
Yes. I can remote start the vehicle with both the key FOB, as well as by using the Smartphone App with the U-Connect. However, after my one year free trial, the remote start feature with the Smartphone will go away, unless I renew the U-Connect contract. As of now I have no plans to do so.
Can you lock a jeep with a key fob?
You can lock the Jeep while it is running from outside with the key fob in your pocket. I did this last week when I was in Las Vegas. My dog was inside and I had the a/c running full blast while I went inside the store to get something. It would be nice if the Jeep shuts down if the key fob is not detected after 5 mins or so.
How do you turn off a non Jeep?
In my non jeep with aftermarket remote start i would always hit the remote start before turning the key to off. Then turn off the ignition, and pull out the key. The car would stay on for about 15min. Usually long enough for a quick run into a store.
What to do if your Jeep FOB goes dead?
To clarifiy: If the fob battery goes dead you can open the door with the key and then use the end opposite of the key on the fob to press the start button to start the veh. The round end on the fob has an RFID chip and must be within 1/4″ or so of the button or actually pressing the button to start the veh.
