Why do my front brakes chatter?

Another thing could be a caliper dragging and over heating a rotor causing a pulsation even if your foot is off the brake. We had an issue on Avalons where the brake pedal return spring was never installed at the factory and the weight of the pedal on long trips would cause enough pressure in the calipers to over heat the rotors.
