Why do car dealers consistently overinflate tires during servicing the placard says 32 psi but they always put in 35 or 36 psi Why?
The tire pressure placard states 32 psi cold, a psi hot is sometimes provided too. After driving tire pressures increase due to the heat generated by road friction and tire structure flex. The pressure increase varies depending upon the initial tire pressure, ambient temperature, driving speed, cornering and braking.
