Why did I Forget to refill the oil in my Fiat 500?
Garage tech drained oil and forgot to refill. I drove off – what damage could this have caused? I went to a Quick oil change place, and they drained the oil from my new Fiat 500 and did not refill/replace oil. After I started the car, I drove approx 1/8 mile before engine quit. The car would not restart.
Which is the best way to run an oil line?
IMO, use the bottom take off even if you want to go up. Since your tank is nasty, use the existing filter w/o the media as a sludge pot and add a second with media installed. Run the oil line to the equipment and put a Garber filter w/vacuum gauge at the end of the line. Connect the Garber to a Tiger Loop and the TL to the burner.
What happens if oil line does not terminate below oil level?

Noisey if line vibrates or doesn’t terminate in tank below oil level 3. possible return line leak, also syphon when servicing fuel units strainer (not supposed to have a valve in return line, if it was ever closed can make a big mess)4. extra cost (you do not need 2 stage fuel pump) second line and fittings
Do you have to have 2 oil lines?
You don’t need 2 pipe. one pipe is fine. the weight of the oil going up is the same as the oil going down. there won’t be any extra vacuum by running it this way. tiger loops do work great, but i don’t think you need one here, although it is nice not to have to ever bled the system. No, you want that crap out of your tank.

Where did I get an oil change done?
I had an oil change done (along with brake work) at Firestone about two months ago. I am a regular customer of this store. Last night my car quit on the highway–the oil light came on, accompanied by smoke and the engine coughing and stopping. I immediately coasted to a stop and got the vehicle towed.
What happens when you drain the oil out of an engine?
Engines don’t just seize up when oil is drained out. You would immediately see the oil pressure gauge drop to zero and a big red light come on. If you don’t have an oil gauge you would have an oil light. Further, an engine runs far different without oil than it does with oil.
