The middle cover shifted before they were at spec. The oil isn’t pouring out but they leak.

Are there any leaks in the rocker box on a V-twin?
No leaks on either of them. One thing I do evey time with either of my bikes is I let them warm up fully before I ride. If the roacker boxes are not hot to the touch before revin’ the engine, the base and head gaskets can blow out easily. I replaced the rocker box gaskets on a friend’s ’98 Heritage.

Get a shop manual for your year and model of evolution and read it. For now go to Bandit.com and follow their directions to register your EVO for their parts book. This will get you into looking at copies of Harley parts books for your year. Go to engine and oil pump and you will find the tappet screen and where it is.
How do you install a rocker box on a Harley?
Prep your bolts with some blue Loctite and put them in the correct allocation. You will snug then torque them. Tip: The rear cylinder has less clearance for the Harley rocker box. Take a old 7/16 socket and turn it down so it’s low profile. Install your pushrod o-rings top and bottom. Clean up the pushrod tubes, lube them and you’re ready to go.

Why is my Harley Davidson rocker box leaking?
Took apart again and found I had pinched the gasket. 2nd time I made sure I didn’t do that again.
