Why are the low beams on my Camry not working?
Same problem on 2007 Camry Hybrid headlights. Burns out or gradually dims lowbeams more and more, no problem with highs.

What does affect brightness is moisture inside the headlight or aging of the headlight front lens, making it matte instead of clear. I’d suggest looking for those issues instead of focusing on the bulbs. Lamps do get dim — perhaps not as dim as the OP is experiencing, but it does happen even with halogen lamps.
Is it safe to drive with high beams on?
No one wants to be driving along at night and have their headlights go out. In many cases, the high beams will still work when the regular headlights stop, but it’s just not safe to drive around with your high beams potentially blinding other drivers.
How to fix a Toyota Camry headlight problem?
Toyota had 3 wires into one pin and it broke in the connector. I cut out the wires and ran them to a new ground point and my problem was fixed. I have daytime lights and low / high beams also fog lights. I have this same issue on a 2004 camry (Highs work, lows went out all of a sudden, Fogs work, parking lights work).

I have a Gen 4. I have checked all of my fuses just to make sure they were all good. My low beams do not work at all. However, my high beams work fine. If i have the low beams turned on, there is nothing. When i turn on the high beams, they work fine. Heres the wierd part though.

Why are the high beams not working on my Toyota?
It appears if the HEAD LIGHT CONTROL RELAY was Inop, then the lights wouldn’t work at all. I don’t have complete faith in these schematics, as they don’t seem to show the High Beam switch, but if you bypass B5 on Connecter B of the Dimmer Switch, you may find your High Beams will work.

Is there a problem with the Toyota Camry headlights?
I stated that I also own a 2003 Toyota Camry that has no problems with the headlights and it provides enough light. The solution is to replace both light housings to the tune of $400. 00 each. The service manager said this is a regular operating expense, like replacing the alternator.
