Why are the electric seats on my SLK not working?
The electric seats on my wife’s 2002 SLK have stopped working. I have checked under the seats and can’t see anything out of place (wires or connectors). The seats are full electric adjustment but do not have memory settings. I’m guessing that as both seats have packed up that it is more likely to be a relay.

How to change the fluid in a SLK?
Look in the w210 forum for 722.6 sticky, how to change the fluid – look at post by Yumling for optimal fluid change, quantity and type of fluid, etc. Type of fluid especially important! You also have to buy or make a dipstick. It does not stay in place, but is only used to measure the level.

A brass clip (green arrow) keeps the K40 in place. Pressing it outward sets the K40 free. Pull the plugs off the K40 and remove it from the car. A skinny flathead screwdriver can be used to pry the relay board out of the case. Check the relay side of the board for obvious problems: charred or loose connections, etc.
