Replace the rear air box and tighten in the two large bolts. These don’t have to be insanely tight, as you don’t want to crack the air box housing. Replace the air filter or install the new one if you are replacing the old one. Replace the air box cover and tighten down the two Hex screws.
How do you remove air filter from Harley Davidson Sportster?
There are only a few bolts to remove. Use a Hex bit screwdriver to remove the two large bolts on the outside of the air filter housing. Use a Torx bit screwdriver to remove the three Torx screws that hold the mounting plate onto the air filter. Remove the air filter.
