Removing the plugs is very simple. For the airbox, just remove the bike’s seat and you will see the rectangular airbox plug right there on top of the airbox. To remove the exhaust diffuser, there is one torx head bolt holding it into the shiny spark arrestor end cap.
Why do you need to remove airbox plug on CRF230F?
The airbox plug is the big one holding back the bike’s performance. Removing the airbox plug results in less vacuum within the carburetor because it allows air to more easily flow through the intake tract, setting the fuel mixture to a lean condition.
