Where does oil leak in JK Rubicon come from?
Upset me because my 2007 JK Rubicon is now 9 years old and has never left a spot in the driveway. So, I started poking around. The engine was bone dry. From underneath it appeared to be coming from the rear main seal.
How can I tell if my motor mount is leaking?
Saw the oil spot on the ground and some oily substance/drip waiting to fall, on the metal under the passenger side motor mount. Took a flashlight and looked above and around the area, looked on the side of the engine and all around to make sure it wasn’t leaking at some point above and it did not appear to be doing so.
Where was the oil leak on my Honda?
They removed, cleaned and sealed the bolt that seemed to be the source of the leak, oil was running down from the bolt, along the flange at the bottom of the bolt and down between the engine and trans.
