Where can I get a Peterbilt clearance light?
Looks like a fuse but a lil bigger. Usually grey. It is either just getting old a weak or u have a short somewhere. U can get them at peteerbilt or probably other places. Try puting a fuse in its place and if it blows u have a short. Should b marked as clearance lites.
What was the problem with the Peterbilt lights?
My driver just went in to Peterbilt in Springfield, MO with the same problem but it also affected his top trailer lights and some on the rear. It was one of the silver fuses and I think it was just loose a little. The service manager came out and bent the ends a little and that fixed the problem WITH NO CHARGE.
Why are my tail lights and clearance lights not working?
No tail lights and no Clearence lights. So I checked all the grounds looked good checked everything pretty much it was good. So I decide to run a cable to from the battery directly to main wire that goes all around the box lights to check and see if + gets to them.

There were some badly corroded wires inside the wiring harness that ran from the original chassis harness to the box. You will need to spend the time to track down the feeds to the rear to find where the breaks in current flow are and repair as necessary. Is the Peterbilt 579 wiring harness under warranty?
Evidently the 579 wiring harness is known for getting holes rubbed in wires when it goes over frame. It’s under warranty til 300000 miles. Mine was at 306 and I’m fighting with them over who’s gonna pay the 3000 dollar bill since it was obviously bad before 300000 and it’s a known problem.

When does a / C cut out on a Peterbilt 379?
That’s for a/c fan so once system pressure reaches 300psi it turns fan on so that is okay. The other sensor on high side is for a/c cut out, if pressure exceeds 500psi it shuts off a/c clutch.
