When do the engine RPMs bounce when driving?
It seems to happen primarily when traveling between 45-55mph. When driving, slightly accerating, the truck is doing about 1100 rpm in its 6th gear. The engines RPMs seem to bounce back and forth 50-100 rpm. It is not the usual ‘bounce’ you get from v4 to v8 mode, it is happening while accelerating which i can see is keeping it in v8 mode.
Why does my Silverado Sierra increase in rpm?
If your left foot is barely touching the brake, it can cause this. If your truck has afm the Rpms will increase 100-200 rpm when it goes I to 4 cyl mode. They will come back down when it goes back into 8 cyl mode So maybe it is switching back and forth from 4 to 8 cyl mode. That makes sense.

When I crank my car, for about 15-20 sec the rpm Gage goes from the 1 to 1 1/2like 13-15 times while making a clicking noise & then levels out. I’ve replaced the cam shaft sensor, spark plugs & throttle bottle position sensor.

Why is it when driving the RPM gauge drops or jumps up?
Somewhere the fuel drop then suddenly rpm decrease better check the complete fuel system from tank to injectors also check the rpm sensor . Was this answer helpful? This could possibly be your output speed sensor, related to the transmission.
