95 Chevy 4wd quit working… I’ve got a 1995 Chevy K1500. I used the 4wd back in deer season, then didn’t use it for about 2-3 months. I went to use it the other day, and nothing worked.

What to do when 4 wheel drive doesn’t work?
Jack up the right side and locate the Actuator on the axle housing and remove the Actuator, do not disconect the wire connector, put the sift lever into four wheel drive and check the Actuator if it does nothing it needs to be replaced, This did not help in my case but check out the front Actuator front axle right side. Pull the Accuator out tape 2 lug nuts to the end of the plunger and screw it back in.You will be locked in .I did this to my 92 1500 many years ago and just last night I did it to my friend 94 1500.It will get you out of a jamb untill you can get a new accuator or just leave it that way it won`t hurt a thing,trust me this works.
